2 не давайте поколебать себя слишком скоро в своем здравом смысле и приводить себя в страх ни духом, ни словом, ни посланием, якобы от нас исходящим, будто настал День Господень. |
|
3 Пусть никто не обманет вас никаким способом, потому что раньше придет отступление, и откроется человек беззакония, сын погибели, |
|
4 противник и превозносящийся выше всего, называемого Богом или святынею, так что в храме Божием сядет он, выдавая себя за Бога. |
|
5 Не помните ли вы, что я еще находясь у вас, говорил это вам? |
|
6 И теперь вы знаете то, что удерживает, чтобы открыться ему в свое время. |
|
7 Ибо тайна беззакония уже в действии; только есть теперь удерживающий, доколе он не будет отнят от среды. |
|
8 И тогда откроется беззаконник, которого Господь Иисус убьёт духом уст Своих и упразднит явлением пришествия Своего, |
|
9 беззаконник, которого пришествие, по действию сатаны, со всякой силой и знамениями и чудесами ложными |
|
10 и со всяким обольщением неправедным, — для погибающих за то, что они не приняли любви истины, чтобы быть им спасёнными. |
|
11 И потому посылает им Бог действие заблуждения для того, чтобы они поверили лжи, |
|
12 да будут осуждены все не поверившие истине, но возлюбившие неправду. |
|
13 |
|
14 к чему и призвал Он вас чрез Евангелие наше, к получению славы Господа нашего Иисуса Христа. |
|
15 Итак, братья, стойте и держите предания, которыми вы были научены или чрез слово, или чрез послание наше. |
|
16 Сам же Господь наш Иисус Христос и Бог, Отец наш, возлюбивший нас и давший по благодати утешение вечное и надежду благую, |
|
17 да утешит ваши сердца и да утвердит во всяком деле и слове добром. |

|
1 NOW we beseech you, my brethren, concerning the coming of our LORD Jesus Christ, and concerning our gathering together with him, |
|
2 That you let not your minds be hastily excited or troubled, neither by word, nor by prophecy of the spirit, nor by an epistle, supposedly from us, stating that the day of our LORD is at hand. |
|
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, unless it is preceded by a rebellion, and the man of sin be revealed as the son of perdition, |
|
4 Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is reverenced; so that even in the temple of God, he sits as a god, and shows himself, as though he were a god. |
|
5 Do you not remember, that when I was with you I told you these things? |
|
6 And now you know what has prevented him from being revealed in his time. |
|
7 For the mystery of iniquity is already at work: until he who now is the obstacle be taken out of the way. |
|
8 Then shall the Wicked be exposed, that one whom our LORD Jesus shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the revelation of his coming: |
|
9 Even him, whose coming is due to the working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders, |
|
10 And with all deceitfulness of unrighteousness in those who perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved thereby. |
|
11 For this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie. |
|
12 That they all, who did not believe in the truth but preferred unrighteousness, might be damned. |
|
13 But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, my brethren beloved of our LORD, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation, through holiness of the Spirit and through a true faith: |
|
14 And it is to these things that God called you by our preaching, to be the glory of our LORD Jesus Christ. |
|
15 Henceforth, my brethren, stand fast, and hold to the commandments which you have been taught, either by word, or by our epistle. |
|
16 Now our LORD Jesus Christ himself, and God even our Father, who has loved us, and has given us everlasting consolation and good hope through his grace, |
|
17 Comfort your hearts, and strengthen you in every good word and work. |
